Archiving Policy
IJRDO – Journal of Biotechnology, published by IJRDO, is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, integrity, and accessibility of its published scholarly content.
To support this commitment, the journal utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a distributed digital preservation service developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for journals operating on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Through PKP PN, all published articles and associated metadata are securely archived to ensure permanent and reliable access.
The PKP Preservation Network stores journal content across multiple independent and geographically distributed preservation nodes. This distributed archiving model protects the scholarly record against data loss, technical failures, cyber risks, website disruptions, or potential journal discontinuation. It ensures durability, reliability, and uninterrupted long-term access to published research.
Key Features of the Archiving System
- Long-term digital preservation of all published articles
- Secure and distributed storage across multiple preservation nodes
- Protection against data loss, system failures, and platform changes
- Continued accessibility of content even if the journal website becomes unavailable
This preservation policy reflects IJRDO – Journal of Biotechnology’s commitment to internationally recognized best practices in scholarly publishing, long-term digital stewardship, and research integrity.
